The following criteria represents our demand on the represented information in ecoScan:

 Close to reality
Information serves the display of close to reality eco-activities.

 Inclusivity
Information provides an inclusive overview and also illuminate the critical eco-aspects.

For the company sites

Information that is linked directly by the companies should fulfill the following additional criteria:

 Third-party verification
The company's ecological commitment is verified by an independent third party.

 No PR bubbles
A healthy balance should exist between the communicated ecological commitment and the company's life cycle assessment.

 No pollutive core business
The company's core business does not pollute the environment.

 From behind
The corporate policy does not pursue goals that are inconsistent with the published eco statements.

 Statutory
Ecological activities that are prescribed by law are not presented as voluntary actions.

 Well-known
The user is not presented well-known information as something new.

You are in control

If you discover that a company does not follow these criteria than hit the alarm.

Companies have the ability to react on your request.

If a company can not supply sufficient evidence that it follows the criteria, the corresponding site or information will be removed from the system.



The ecoScan criteria are based on values and interests from LOHAS throughout the world.
